More sales. Higher quality sales and clients. Referral business. These are things that all salespeople concentrate on as they focus on their careers. Hundreds of books and articles are written every year that bring attention to the aspects of these goals. They all speak to prospecting with CRM’s, referrals through relationships and high-quality service. And, they are right on the money for as far as they take you.
But let’s face it, without character driven intentions you won’t get out of the blocks. Self-examination of your character/personality traits is a must in today’s world. To assist you in that quest, there are many excellent personality tests by companies like Myers Briggs. And, there are unique IQ type exams that test your intelligence levels. A new one from LaunchStreet gives individuals, and employers, a way to see their “Innovation Quotient Edge or IQE” offering a totally different understanding of their innovative qualities.
You could take these types of informative exams until you are blue in the face, so settling on one or two, to begin with, is a great first step. Another way to go is to follow my “TRIP System”. In my new book “Tenacity: You Don’t Have to Get Lost in Nepal to Find Yourself, But it Helps!” I talk about how I gravitated toward four words that gave me a foundation for my own self-examination and self-empowerment. Those four words are contained in my acronym TRIP: Tenacity, Resilience, Imagination, and Purpose. Utilizing each of these words is a step in the right direction to increase high-quality clients.
When we focus on these four-character traits and improve on ourselves, we:
- Automatically improve our client engagement through tenacity, which will step our efforts up a notch to focus outside ourselves.
- Attract prospects who are motivated to onboard you and your resilient attitude to meet their goals.
- Attract more clients through imaginative marketing who want to work with you because you value these traits in yourself and apply them to your business.
- Know more about yourself and your purpose; which will help you engage with your clients, to be more authentic, mindful and innovative in seeking solutions for them.
I encourage you to visit my YouTube page for new videos I’m creating on each of my four words and how they can impact you, your business and your relationships. Or please contact me to do a keynote or workshop for your association or business.
Here’s to your success!
