“Building Tenacity” Podcast With Michael Kay
Every once in a while, an opportunity comes along that grabs your attention and you have to take advantage of it. That was the case a month or two ago when I connected with Michael Kay of “Change X”. We communicated and found that we had a lot in common and he invited me to be a guest on his podcast…what a joy it turned out to be! Michael has hit all of the major outlets with his information and he lists The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Psychology Today, and Forbes among them.
Michael works with men in work/life transition. That covers a lot of territory but it homes in on transition from our work life to semi or full retirement. This is an important topic in the age we are living in. Many boomers like me have had to make this difficult journey and it’s very refreshing to have Michael educating men about the pitfalls and difficulties they may encounter. My own story of hitting my mid-life and mid-career crisis and going to Nepal to find myself and understand my purpose for the balance of my life was very challenging.
Many men struggle with the decisions that must be made to accommodate not only their own desires, but those of their spouses and loved ones and business partners. Succession planning is often part of this process and should be in the goals of the business before even reaching this phase. Financial planners often also struggle to get business owners to look down the road to this time in life because it doesn't seem important until you reach it, but the sooner you plan the easier it will be when you get there.
My TRIP System and TRIP Technique (TM) Assessment fit Michael Kay's program very well, so we had a lot to talk about. I don’t want to spoil the podcast for your as you will find it very interesting on its own. Please click here or on the image below to hear the podcast.
Remember to take a TRIP for a lifetime, not a trip of a lifetime!
