Hi, this is Keith Renninson “The Tenacity Expert”
professional speaker & author of the award-winning book “Tenacity, You Don’t Have to Get Lost in Nepal to Find Yourself, But it Helps!”. I’m here with my next installment of my TRIP Tips for the financial services professional. Remember that TRIP is an acronym for TENACITY, RESILIENCE, IMAGINATION, AND PURPOSE.
So, lets’ get started!
We all have many of kinds of energies, physical, spiritual, creative, mental, and relationship to name a few. We also have the ability to tap into those energies when we need them. When allowing your creative energy to grow, one thought builds on the next until you have a constant stream of thoughts each more exciting than the one before.
As the Law of Attraction says, "Like attracts like."
Positivity attracts positivity which attracts creative energy, and when that happens you've got a runaway train for fun and ideas! Keep the energy up for as long as you can, don't let it slide away...once it's gone, often, it's gone for a while and that's normal.
When creating a financial plan or while gathering on-boarding data from a client you can bring your own unique energy to making it fun and imaginative. Utilizing their future and the current goals to allow the excitement of those ideas to surface and get your client energized to help in the creation of what will serve them the best will deepen your relationship and improve the communication. They will begin to reveal their inner most thoughts and ideas that will help you guide them to more fulfillment, freedom, and fun.
I can’t tell you how many times my assistant would ask me, after clients had left the office, what we were laughing about during the meeting. Once you get them to open up the fun begins, and you can take advantage of that to fill in the blanks of their true desires. With couples, you will see the differences in the plans of one person versus the other and often they will help you prepare your plan to meet the needs of both. Those discussions can be very humorous and pleasant if you design it that way. Bring your positivity to the forefront and be vulnerable about it and they will too.
Well, that’s it for this installment, I hope you have some new ideas on how to proceed. Remember to take a TRIP for a lifetime, not a trip of a lifetime.
See you next time, and in the meantime, approach each client interaction with positivity and fun!
Keith......
