"How to Change My Mindset to Be More Resilient!"

When I hit a low point in life or work I quickly switch my mindset from what got me down to thinking about how I am going to move forward. It’s a well-trained muscle from years of practice in the insurance and speaking businesses with all of the ups and downs
To actually pull yourself out of a funk is a learned skill. We have resilience as a built-in character trait, but until it’s been exercised and used it sits under the surface of our personality.
There are three things that are definite “don’ts” when trying to recover from a bout of sadness or depression:

There are many ways to exercise your resilience and these do’s and don’ts are a small list of things that you can do, but they have served me well over the years and I hope they help you when you are down.
Lastly, celebrate your small successes. When you hit bottom and are working your way out of the hole, every small step can be celebrated. At the end of a hard day, week, or month, looking back at the string of small triumphs you experienced helps you see the effects of your resilience and give you the confidence to repeat it when you get down the next time.
